CAUSALITY - THEME OF WEEK 05 - 2018

The understanding of causality is an inner key to understanding the intuitive intelligence. I see the intuitive intelligence as the most abstract form of human intelligence. I see it as the most subtle and the highest spiritual vibrating form og intelligence. Let me make some thoughts about causality.

In the coming week no 05-2018, my Instagram posts will reflect on causality. I do the reflections through quotes and captions, linked to illustrative images. Feel free to follow me on https://www.instagram.com/mostadjon/.

What is causality? What role does causality play for intuitive intelligence? When we have an answer to the question, we can more fully understand ourselves as intuitive beings. Causal comes from Latin meaning cause. Two phenomena have a causal connection when they are associated with a cause. When one phenomenon is the cause of another, we have a causal connection. Philosophically, we have a causal explanation when it indicates relationships as a cause. Teleologically, we have a causal explanation when it indicates God as a cause.

Causality can be explained by relationships that are both practical and religious. This makes sense to me.

I want to look at causality somewhat closer. When a cause has an effect, we have causality. We have more forms of causality. One of them is the asymmetric. This is easy to accept. Event A comes before event B. Another form of causality is based on locality. It means that an event A occurs near B. Here, both social sciences and quantum mechanics have explanations that show causal relationships. The third form of causality is constant conjunction. This means that event A is always followed by event B. The prerequisite for such a relationship is determinism. When events always have a cause and this cause always gives the same effect, it is determined.

I can not quite stop here.

Correlation is also a side of causality. A correlation is a statistical context. Through statistical analyzes, we can see if A has an impact on B. Here are the possibilities that we can assume a context that is deepest not seen there. If we are in doubt whether correlation exists or not, we can analyze using quantitative methods. A particular relationship that can point to correlation is the form of context that we call spurious. This is a form of correlation between variables that do not correlate in between. However, they correlate because there is an underlying variable that affects both variables or only one. This one then affects the other one.

Complex? Beautiful? I think so.

The ideas of theosophy about the seven consciously levels help me further. You have a physical consciousness that accommodates your actions and all your activity. You have an astral consciousness that holds your feelings, lusts and psyche. You have a mental consciousness that accommodates your logical conclusions and analyzes. You have a causal consciousness that holds your abstract and symbolic thoughts. Then follow the Buddhic consciousness, the plane of the intuitive insight and love.

Theosophy places your causal and Buddhic consciousness on a spiritual level. The soul is emitted by the Spirit and links the connection between the physical world and the spiritual world. When you process abstract, intuitive and in love, you process your spiritual higher intelligence.

Your spiritual intelligence enters more than the logically-analytical, but also this. When you "hear what does not sound, see what does not form and understand what is not thought," your thinking is deeply causal. It is driven by ideas and insights that are unknown and hidden for you. It can be explained in certain contexts and in other contexts not.

This is what distinguishes an algorithmic (artificial) intelligence and a spiritual human consciousness. We need to understand the strength of both and especially to develop the human. I think this will be our next big evolutionary leap.
